Hands up – I’m a sucker for a cute pastel shade. There’s just something about those summery colours that put a smile on my face and a spring in my step, and there’s no quicker or easier way to introduce pastels into your kitchen than with a few carefully chosen accessories. Here a just a few of the gorgeous finds that I’ve unearthed – I hope they brighten your day, too.
As well as pastels, stripes are another of my weaknesses, so when I found these stylish Cornishware mugs, inspired by colours from the Cornish seaside, I thought all my Christmases had come at once! They cost £40 for a set of four and come packaged in a beautiful stripey box – a great gift for any discerning tea lover.
Salt and pepper are an absolute must in the kitchen, both for cooking and seasoning our food at mealtimes. So, why not jazz up this staple ingredient by storing them in these sunny salt and pepper mills? Made by Rice and available at Debenhams, they’re a snip at £12.50.
The 1950s is synonymous with pastel colours, and so, too, is enamel cookware and the two have been perfectly combined by The Contemporary Home. This set of stylish yet practical milk pans will add a touch of retro chic to your kitchen in a flash. They are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning and cost £60. Emily
